by May 13, 2022

We are delighted to announce the winner of the Football Industry College Norwich Student of the Year award is…Ben Anderson.

Final year scholar Ben has delivered on and off the pitch with match winning academic and athletic performances, not only for the past twelve months, but during his entire journey with the Football Industry College.

Currently completing the final units of his Level Three Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science, Ben has consistently delivered a high standard of work which includes assignments, practical delivery, presentations, and group discussions.

On the pitch Ben has been an ever-present member of the Norwich team, competing in the AOC Sport College League, putting in consistent solid performances, always showing a great approach to training and improving as a player.

Having progressed through our further education programme, Ben has identified his pathway of progressing onto higher education, having experienced a range of enrichment opportunities that included guest speakers, workshops, and a university trip to the University Campus of Football Business Wembley Stadium.

Following researching his higher education options and submitting his UCAS application and personal statement back in January, Ben has successfully secured his first-choice conditional offer to study towards a degree in Football Coaching & Performance at the University of Wolverhampton.

It has been an absolute pleasure to be Ben’s tutor during his time with the Football Industry College. His commitment to the quality of work he delivers has seen him really show his potential to progress onto higher education. Ben has grown in confidence and belief throughout his journey with us and truly deserves this award. On the pitch he has been one of the most consistent performers within the Norwich team and widely respected by his peers in the way he conducts himself both on and off the pitch. Although Ben’s time at the Football Industry College is coming to an end, I really look forward to seeing this respectable young man continue to impress within higher education and whatever the future brings.
