From top of the league leaders, excellent performances in the AOC Cup, to senior first team goals and man of the match performances, our national scholars have once again delivered on the pitch during the past term.
SHEFFIELD SCHOLARS
The Sheffield ‘Performance’ scholars have continued their unbeaten start to the South Yorkshire & Hallamshire FA College Flexi League with a string of solid team performances with goals coming from all over the pitch.

Despite a few games being postponed during the term the Sheffield ‘Development’ scholars have continued to impress on the training ground and currently sit in a respectable position in their league. Having only been beaten by the top two teams to date in close games, the scholars are keen to convert their games in hand into points and climb the table in January.

The lads have really continued to form a great team spirit between both the ‘performance’ and ‘development’ squads which is fantastic to see. Both squads have put in some real solid team performances this term and really transferred what they have worked on in training to matchday Wednesday’s.

NORWICH SCHOLARS
The main talking point from our Norwich Scholars this term has been the progression in the AOC Sport Challenge Cup. Having beaten local rivals DESA in the opening round the Norwich scholars followed this up with a solid 5-1 win away at the F2 Academy to progress into the later stages of the cup.

In the AOC League, the Norwich Scholars have made a positive start sitting second in the table with a game in hand over leaders Kesgrave & Leiston FC Partnership.

Fair play to the scholars for their patience this term with limited games due to COVID-19 and the weather. They have given me full commitment every training session and truly deserved to progress into the next round of the AOC Cup after a great performance against the high profile F2 Academy.

LOWESTOFT SCHOLARS
Our Lowestoft ‘Performance’ scholars matchday fixtures in the competitive National League U19 Alliance have also been impacted by COVID-19 and the weather during the past term. With up to five games in hand over the top teams, the scholars will be looking to kick off 2022 with some strong performances to climb the table.

JOSH HARVEY – LOWESTOFT TOWN F.C 1ST TEAM RECOGNITION
Congratulations to Josh Harvey who’s consistent performances have earned him an opportunity with Lowestoft Town F.C First team.

Josh has not only been a regular starter, but has also scored his first senior goals and been awarded a man of the match performance in the recent fixture against Leiston F.C. A great achievement at only 16 years of age.
Josh has shown outstanding application since joining the Academy full time. In his run outs in the Summer he showed glimpses of his potential and now being in everyday developing his athletic ability and working on his game, he has pushed himself up the pecking order. At 16 to be playing regularly at Step 3 and showing the levels of performances he has, is a testament to the application from him. Hopefully he carries this on moving forward. Everyone in the Academy will be pushing and helping him all the way.
