Scholars looking to improve their Maths & English GCSE grades alongside their core diploma qualification have been crowned winners of the national Century Winter Cup.
Answering over 4,600 questions in December (an average of 174 questions per scholar) our scholars finished run away leaders with the nearest competitors averaging 139 questions per learners. This is fantastic achievement against some big Further Education Colleges and a testament to our scholars in realising the importance and commitment to enhance their Maths & English GCSE Grades, supporting the next steps of their futures.
The innovative Century learning platform provides scholars who need to enhance their Maths & English GCSE grades with engaging learning and revision tools, through diagnostic assessments to support each individual’s requirements.
Our very own Assistant Director of Education, Rich Clarke recently sat down with Century to provide an insight into how our national scholars have embraced this fantastic, learning platform.
We chose to subscribe to CENTURY and their innovative learning platform because we felt that it would be the ideal package to support learners to continue to progress and develop their Maths and English knowledge while at the Football Industry College. Our learners can often come to us fearing having to continue with GCSE Maths and English, so it is vital for us to deliver Maths and English using engaging tools, that work to enable them to progress as individuals. CENTURY’S diagnostic process enables our staff to work with each individual learner to find their start point and their gaps in understanding. The artificial intelligence then provides interactive learning material for each learner, to enable them to enhance their foundation knowledge and work on their identified targeted areas. Us winning the Century Winter Cup is a testament to all the hard work our staff and learners have put in towards Maths and English, however this has been hugely supported by CENTURY and their team.
